COVID-19 FAQ

  • When will the COVID-19 vaccine be available to me?

All Arkansans ages 5 and up are now eligible. Please feel free to give us a call to confirm booster vaccine information.

  • Are the COVID-19 vaccines safe?

The vaccines have been found to be safe and effective and have been authorized for emergency use in the United States. COVID-19 vaccines have been tested in large clinical trials to make sure they meet safety standards. The FDA reviews all safety data from the clinical trials and authorizes emergency vaccines use. Next, ACIP, a CDC advisory committee, reviews all safety data before recommending any COVID-19 vaccine for use. Both FDA and CDC continue to monitor safety of COVID-19 vaccines.

  • What are the side effects of COVID-19 vaccines?

Your arm may be sore, red or warm to touch after receiving a COVID-19 vaccine as with any other vaccine. Fatigue and headache are the most common side effects of the COVID-19 vaccines, but other side effects include fever, chills, and muscle aches. Please report any sign of allergic reaction to your healthcare provider.

  • Do I have to pay for the COVID-19 vaccine?

COVID-19 vaccine doses will be given to the American people at no cost. However, vaccine providers will be able to bill insurance companies for administration fees for giving or administering the shot to someone.
